Aromatherapy
Vingyana Essentials, our in-house collection of aromatherapy products, is modelled on Ayurveda, the hallowed science of herbal treatment of which aromatherapy is an essential discipline.

Aromatherapy refers to elevating an individual’s mood, cognitive, psychological or physical well-being, using aromatic substances such as plant oils, essential oils and other aromatic compounds. Aromatherapy can reduce anxiety, stress, and improve quality of life.

We work with 100% pure, steam-distilled essential oils and cold-pressed unrefined vegetable oils.

Art & Music Therapy

Every sound has a physiological effect. When you listen to a beautiful piece of music or inspirational words, a cascade of pleasure-producing chemicals course through your body, supporting health and wholeness. We recognise that music is a valuable therapeutic tool for balance and healing.

Art therapy and music therapy are tools used to promote self-expression, feelings, and emotions, without verbal expression, in Cancer patients. It can reduce stress, anxiety, depression, pain, and improve well-being.

Thala, our in-house instrumental album has been composed to bring about mind and body healing, which will inspire you, and make you feel refreshed, joyful, and alert.

Floatation Tank

The sensory deprivation achieved by spending time in a floatation therapy tank, enables a deep relaxation state that allows the body to release long-held deep stress. Pain is relieved, blood flow is stimulated through all the tissues, natural endorphins are released, and the brain gives out alpha waves associated with relaxation and meditation.

Halotherapy – Salt Cave

Salt therapy is a natural treatment in a controlled air medium that simulates the natural salt cave microclimate. Dry salt releases negative ions and when these are inhaled for a sufficient time period, they can absorb impurities and help to eliminate toxins in the body. Our salt cave is made from Himalayan salt bricks.

Oncology Massage

Oncology massage is a specific type of massage for Cancer patients. It helps patients to relax, reduce pain, fatigue, anxiety, and depression.

Massage therapy epitomises the fundamental sense of ‘touch’ stimulating health and well-being. When your skin is stimulated by a calming touch or massage, it releases many healing chemicals that enhance immune functions, improve circulation, and promote restful sleep.

Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates is a form of Pilates that focuses on core strengthening, posture balance, control, strength, breathing and flexibility. It is used with physiotherapy to recover from injures after surgery.

Tai Chi & Qi Gong or Chi Kung: The Energy Within

Tai Chi originates from China and it translates to ‘grand ultimate’. Tai Chi follows the dynamic balance between mutually interactive phenomena. It was developed originally as a martial art as well as a meditative movement.

Qi Gong is a 5000-year-old Chinese practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine that combines postures, exercises, breathing techniques, and meditation to cultivate ‘vital energy’ (Qi). It balances the flow of energy and enhances the functionality of the mind and body. Qi Gong has shown to decrease fatigue, cortisol level, and increase the immune function, quality of life and better sleeping patterns. It can regulate the functional energy balance internally for healing, stress neutralisation, longevity, and personal tranquility.

Yoga
Patients who practise yoga as therapy during their treatment, often refer to their yoga practice as a life saver. Our patients find relief when practising therapeutic yoga, no matter how sick or tired they feel. Many find that the one thing that brings relief is a gentle set of therapeutic yoga poses geared for patients.
