Vingyana at REEFS

Vingyana at Reefs

A purpose-built, integrative medical and wellness centre.

Welcome to the holistic healing world of Vingyana!

Vingyana represents ‘the life force that flows through the conscious being’. It has its roots embedded in the ancient dialects of Sanskrit and Pali, evoking harmony of the mind, body, and soul.

The application of integrative medicine in Sri Lanka dates back to over 3,000 years, where doctors practised a combination of Ayurveda from North India, the Siddha system from South India, the Unani system of medicine from the Arabs, and most importantly, Desheeya Chikitsa, which is the indigenous medicine system of Sri Lanka.

Our Approach to Cancer

Combine science, innovation, herbals and mind and body therapy, and discover a holistic approach to treating Cancer.

Vingyana is a purpose-built, integrative medical and wellness centre that focuses on the whole being and not only on the ‘disease’. We treat the totality of a person as a spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical being, to achieve good health, wellness, and thereby recover from disease.

Integrating modern and traditional, scientific and empirical methods, we use the healing powers of nature’s sciences to identify and treat the cause of Cancer. Our emphasis on gentle, non-invasive and effective interventions do not have adverse side-effects. Prevention and non-recurrence is a key component of our approach. Evidence-based medicine and protocols are the basis of our interventions.

Our personalised approach tailors treatments for patients based on their individual makeup. We consider the body’s natural defences and limitations to fight Cancer cells. A patient’s emotional and spiritual self plays an equally significant role in our diagnosis. By accurately profiling a patient, we are able to deliver a highly efficient course of action, whilst evaluating and modifying treatments for best results, on a daily basis.

Our 100% natural treatments improve the immune system while protecting and nourishing the body’s healthy cells. We specialise in organically sourced herbals, which are intravenously administered to eliminate the growth and spread of Cancer. For the added efficacy of our treatments, we offer acupuncture, aromatherapy, oncology massage, and a host of other wellness therapies including yoga and qi gong.

We recognise the value of modern technology and its immense potential to advance oncological care, and grant a better quality of life for our patients. Our personalised protocols combine the immense benefits of the world’s most sophisticated treatment technologies, which are easily accessible at Vingyana.

We treat all forms of Cancer with varying levels of complexity. Below are some of the more common Cancers that we offer integrative solutions to, at Vingyana.

Our Approach to Diabetes

Reassess and reverse your lifestyle choices and watch the positive transformation of your health and wellness.

The Vingyana Diabetes Wellness Program is intended for individuals who suffer from Diabetes as well as those who are pre-diabetic with or without a family history (genetic predisposition). Our approach is to tap into the healing powers of the body and mind, using the tool of nutritive medicine and evidence-based integrative treatments for the prevention of and recovery from Diabetes.

We employ our in-house oligo scan, veda pulse, ALCAT testing, and genetic profiling tools to better understand your condition, and develop a highly personalised course of action.

After the initial assessment, patients will follow a protocol that combines nutraceuticals, liquid feasts, biochemical restoration, and stress management. Our Diabetes management strategies are supported by halotherapy, hyperbaric medicine, and sensory deprivation therapies through the application of technology from the US, Japan and Australia.

Those showing Diabetes risk factors will undergo integrative treatments to manage dietary risks and address acidosis. These include whole-body cleanses and organ detoxification, which alkalises the system and enables metabolic normalcy, by restoring the biochemical processes involved in the normal functioning of a healthy body.

Our protocols are facilitated by professionally trained naturopaths, homeopaths, psychologists, dieticians, exercise instructors, and yoga trainers, to ensure a well-rounded program. The inspiring and supportive environment at Vingyana is perfect for people looking to consciously change their lifestyle with long-term benefits.

Our Approach to Clinical Detox

Achieve vibrant health and wellness through our preventive medical approach to detox.

Our bodies are built for natural detoxification. But as of late, the burden that we place on our bodily cleansing system is increasing. The worst offenders are our environment and food, overloaded with toxic and chemical waste, making it hard for our bodies to cleanse and purify. This has led to accelerated ageing, weight gain, low immunity, reproductive disorders, thyroid conditions, and Cancer, among a host of other carcinogenic and endocrine-related health issues.

The Vingyana Clinical Detox is based on a preventive medicine model, which is designed to unburden your system from impurities, while nursing your body’s amazing detox abilities back to efficiency and effectiveness.

Vingyana is a haven for detoxification and rejuvenation: a clean and wholesome environment that combines holistic, evidence-based, integrative treatments with leading technologies, and a support system made up of physicians, nutritionists, trainers, and therapists, specialising in preventive medicine.

Our detox and rejuvenation retreat, houses technologies brought down from the US, Japan, and Australia to perform colonics, hyperbaric treatment, halotherapy, and sensory deprivation for the advancement of your purification process.

We are uniquely equipped to assess the future risks of your organ systems, using an oligo scan, veda pulse, ALCAT testing, and genetic profiling. Any early warning signs will be supplemented with a customised rejuvenation protocol for the prevention of any future health complications.

Nutritional cleanses of the liver, kidney, and plasma, using pure herbal extracts, high-dose intravenous Vitamin C and psychotherapeutic interventions, as part of mind & body medicine, are some of the exclusive treatments that will feature in your individualised plan.

Vingyana’s holistic approach to detox also extends to a personally recommended and meticulously prepared diet plan, which consists of freshly sourced, unadulterated produce that will assist your detoxification process.

We look forward to your transformation as much as you. In a short period of time, your body will feel cleaner, renewed, and energised whilst looking fresher and younger. You will learn to adopt positive, lasting lifestyle changes, constantly detoxing your mind and body to achieve optimum health and happiness.

Tests at Vingyana

At Vingyana, we provide and use the following tests for diagnostics and monitoring purposes.
ALCAT
ALCAT Test is used to identify immune reactions to various foods, food additives, environmental chemicals, medicinal herbs, moulds, antibiotics and other anti-inflammatory agents.

A whole blood sample collected in sodium citrate is used for this test. It measures the patient’s response to each of the substances tested and classifies the response as reactive, borderline or non-reactive. A customised diet plan or substances to avoid can be recommended based on the findings. This improves the immune system balance.

Cancer Markers
Cancer Markers are mostly made by normal cells as well as CA cells. They are produced in higher levels by CA cells and are used as a diagnostic method to identify Cancerous conditions.

CA 15-3
CA 15-3 is a blood test that is used to monitor the response to treatment in breast Cancer patients. It measures the level of CA 15-3 antigen in blood.

CA 19-9
CA 19-9 is a blood test that measures the level of the tumour marker CA 19-9, especially in Pancreatic Cancer patients.

CA 125
CA 125 test measures the level of the tumour marker CA 125 or Cancer Antigen 125 in blood. CA 125 is abundant in tumour cells than in normal cells. Typically, CA 125 is mostly secreted by Ovarian Cancer cells compared to other types of cells. A blood sample used to measure the level of CA-125.

CDSA Test
CDSA is a non-invasive stool test used for assessing the gastrointestinal function. It gives important information regarding the gut function such as digestion/absorption markers, gut metabolic markers and gut microbiology markers.

Chest X-ray
Chest X-ray is a type of an imaging test which uses minute doses of ionizing radiation to produce an image of the chest region. Information regarding the functioning of the lungs, air way, and the heart can be obtained looking at an x ray.

Circulating Tumour Cells (CTC)
CTCs are Cancer cells that deattch from the primary tumour and travel to other parts of the body. They can potentially proliferate and give rise to distant metastasis. A CTC test is a blood test that is used to distinguish CTC from the rest of the blood cells. It will be used to decide the prognosis of the Cancers.

Computerized Tomography (CT) Scan
A Computerized Tomography (CT Scan) or CAT scan is an imaging test that combines several x-rays taken from different angles and produces three dimensional cross section images of the bones, blood vessels and soft tissues using a computer.

Full Blood Count (FBC)
A Full Blood Count (FBC) is a common test done to check the values of red blood cells, white blood cells and the platelets in the blood. It is used to monitor various conditions such as anaemia, fatigue, weakness, infection or inflammation.

Genetic Testing
A genetic test is conducted to create a personalised treatment plan depending on the unique individual genetic makeup of a person. A cheek cell swab is used for this test. The genetic profile obtained gives a thorough understanding of genes that control aspects such as metabolism, nutrition and response to exercise and so on. By knowing the genetic profile of an individual, the expression levels of the genes can be controlled by changing lifestyle factors and the body’s overall health can be improved.

Lipid Profile
A Lipid Profile is a blood test which includes the levels of total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein (HDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL) and tri glycerides to determine the risk of heart disease.

Liver Profile
Liver Profile, also known as Liver Function Tests (LFTs) consists of series of blood tests used to determine any irregularities or dysfunctioning of the liver. LFTs usually measure the levels of liver enzymes (E.g.: ALT, ALP, AST), bilirubin and total protein.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is another type of imaging that uses radio and magnetic waves to obtain detailed images of organs and tissues inside the body. It is a non-invasive procedure and does not use any type of radiation.

Neurotransmitter Tests
A Neurotransmitter Test is a non-invasive urine test that measures the levels of ‘neurotransmitters’’. Neurotransmitters are a type of chemicals that communicate information throughout the brain and the body by transmitting signals from one neurone to another. The levels of neurotransmitters (example: serotonin, GABA, noradrenaline, adrenaline, and glutamate) provide detailed information about a patient’s mood, sleep, concentration, memory, and anxiety.

Oligo Scan
Oligo Scan is a device that is used to detect trace elements and toxic metals in the tissues.
A portable spectrometer device is used to collect the data from a blood, urine, faecal or hair sample of a patient and sent to the secure central Oilgo Scan server. The results can be obtained in about 20 seconds.
Oligo Scan is beneficial when prescribing supplementation that would enhance the natural individualised meal planning. If the patient suffers from metal toxicity, chelating techniques, supplements or lifestyle changes can be recommended.

Oncostat Plus
This is a test which is being used to measure the chemo-sensitivity/chemo-resistance of cytotoxic drugs, monoclonal antibodies, small molecules that inhibit specific targets (example: TKI) and the assessment of natural substances and extracts for anti-Cancer potency.

PSA
The PSA Test measures the level of Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) in blood. PSA is secreted by the cells of the prostate gland and usually elevated in Prostate Cancer patients. A blood sample is used to measure the level of PSA in Prostate Cancer patients.

Renal Profile
A Renal Profile is a blood test conducted to check the functioning of the kidneys. Levels of electrolytes (example: sodium, potassium, chloride, and bicarbonate), glucose, minerals (example: phosphorous, calcium), and waste products (example: urea) are measured.

Salivary Hormones Test
A Salivary Hormones Test is a non-invasive method to check the levels of various hormones in the body especially in hormone driven Cancers. The advantage of a Hormone Salivary Test compared to a serum test is that the saliva test will indicate the active levels of hormones delivered to the receptors. A special kit is used to collect a saliva sample for this test.

Ultra Sound Scans (Abdomen and Pelvis)
An Ultra Sound Scan is a type of imaging test that uses sound waves to get a detailed look at the organs inside the body. It is a painless and a non-invasive procedure. A gel will be applied to the area of interest (example: abdomen or pelvis) and a small transducer is placed on top of the skin. The transducer will transmit sound waves which will then penetrate the gel and the skin. The sound waves which bounce back are collected by the transducer to create an image on the computer. A radiologist will interpret the image and create a report.

Veda Pulse
Veda Pulse is a tool to perform pulse analysis. It uses an algorithm based on the Heart Rate Variability (HRV) method for the pulse analysis.
The practitioners can see the functional state for the patients and make recommendations and individual rehabilitation programs on diet, select food supplements, herbs, and oils for aromatherapy to correct psycho-emotional disorders.

The highly individualised plans comprise of a series of treatments, therapies, and interventions that span a period of four to five weeks. These include oral, intravenous, and functional treatments as well as acupuncture, Ketogenic Diet, oncology massage, and more.

Our natural herbal extracts are carefully sourced by certified suppliers from Germany, Australia, USA, and Japan, while the equipment used for our interventions come from Germany, USA, and Japan.

Our international team of practitioners bring evidence-based insights to the treatment of integrative medicine practised at Vingyana. We abide by the highest codes of medical ethics and standards upheld in the USA, EU and Australia.

Treatment protocols used for the management of Cancer, Diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disease and preventive Clinical Detox.

Clinical Detoxification
Detoxification is a cornerstone of our integrative oncology treatment protocol. People vary in their ability to process and eliminate toxins and in how toxins impact their health. Clinical detoxification provides a professional system of restoring health and it can be used in combination with other therapies.

Chiropractic Rehabilitation

Cancer causes stress on the musculoskeletal system and chiropractic care can be used to reduce stress, increase mobility, stress, strength and function.

In chiropractic care, an adjustment (manually applying a control force) to the musculoskeletal system of the patient is done to restore the alignment of the spine or other joints in the body. These treatments are useful for getting rid of symptoms like back pain, neck pain, neuropathy and fatigue etc.

Clinical Psychotherapy
Instead of narrowing in on an individual problem, psychotherapy considers overall patterns, chronic issues, and recurrent feelings. This requires openness to exploring the past and its impact on the present. The aim of our psychotherapy sessions is to resolve the underlying issues which fuel on-going complaints, hence helping the natural healing process.

Colonic Irrigation
The health of your gut is the pathway to health and healing, and colonic irrigation is the first step in restoring gut health through the subsequent re-irrigation of gut flora.

Colon cleansing is required to get rid of faeces and other harmful toxins accumulated on the colonic walls, which would otherwise cause preconditions for various diseases in the body.

Clinical Enzyme Therapy
Pancreatic enzyme therapy is important in reducing endotoxins produced by bacteria, thus decreasing inflammation and carcinogenesis. This is particularly important in patients who have been found resistant to chemotherapy. Furthermore, this therapy has been shown to improve cellular immunity and up-regulate p53.

Coffee Enemas
Coffee enemas are used for detoxification of the internal systems.
The patient will hold a solution of organic coffee in the colon for about 12-15 minutes. Caffeine in the coffee will be absorbed to the blood stream from the haemorrhoidal vein and will travel to the liver using the portal system. This causes the bile ducts to dilate and secrete bile. Cafestol palmitate in coffee enhances the activity of glutathione S-transferase, an enzyme that stimulates bile excretion. This enzyme has anti-oxidant properties and therefore will neutralize any free radicals in the blood. It is believed that these toxins and free radicals are dissolved in the bile and excreted through the intestines.

The sensory deprivation achieved by spending time in a floatation therapy tank, enables a deep relaxation state that allows the body to release long-held deep stress. Pain is relieved, blood flow is stimulated through all the tissues, natural endorphins are released, and the brain gives out alpha waves associated with relaxation and meditation.

Halotherapy – Salt Cave

Salt therapy is a natural treatment in a controlled air medium that simulates the natural salt cave microclimate. Dry salt releases negative ions and when these are inhaled for a sufficient time period, they can absorb impurities and help to eliminate toxins in the body. Our salt cave is made from Himalayan salt bricks.

Oncology Massage

Oncology massage is a specific type of massage for Cancer patients. It helps patients to relax, reduce pain, fatigue, anxiety, and depression.

Massage therapy epitomises the fundamental sense of ‘touch’ stimulating health and well-being. When your skin is stimulated by a calming touch or massage, it releases many healing chemicals that enhance immune functions, improve circulation, and promote restful sleep.

Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates is a form of Pilates that focuses on core strengthening, posture balance, control, strength, breathing and flexibility. It is used with physiotherapy to recover from injures after surgery.

Tai Chi & Qi Gong or Chi Kung: The Energy Within

Tai Chi originates from China and it translates to ‘grand ultimate’. Tai Chi follows the dynamic balance between mutually interactive phenomena. It was developed originally as a martial art as well as a meditative movement.

Qi Gong is a 5000-year-old Chinese practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine that combines postures, exercises, breathing techniques, and meditation to cultivate ‘vital energy’ (Qi). It balances the flow of energy and enhances the functionality of the mind and body. Qi Gong has shown to decrease fatigue, cortisol level, and increase the immune function, quality of life and better sleeping patterns. It can regulate the functional energy balance internally for healing, stress neutralisation, longevity, and personal tranquility.

Yoga
Patients who practise yoga as therapy during their treatment, often refer to their yoga practice as a life saver. Our patients find relief when practising therapeutic yoga, no matter how sick or tired they feel. Many find that the one thing that brings relief is a gentle set of therapeutic yoga poses geared for patients.

State-of-the-art Technologies

Embrace the non-invasive and highly effective benefits of health and wellness innovations.

The integrative treatment of Cancer, Diabetes, Chronic Kidney Disease and preventive Clinical Detox requires a range of highly specialised technologies: all of which are easily accessible at Vingyana.

Our state-of-the-art equipment is manufactured in the US, Germany, UK, Japan, and Australia. These sophisticated tools are utilised for accurate diagnostics as well as to restore mind and body wellness. The treatments derived from the usage of our equipment, work in synergistic function with our integrative therapies, providing the ideal balance for healing and rejuvenation.

Our highly-qualified team of engineers and technicians maintain our equipment to international standards in a temperature controlled environment, which enables us to deliver treatments at an optimum level.

ALCAT
The ALCAT test is used to identify immune reactions to various foods, food additives, environmental chemicals, medicinal herbs, moulds, antibiotics, and other anti-inflammatory agents.

A whole blood sample collected in sodium citrate is used for this test. It measures the patient’s response to each of the substances tested and classifies the response as reactive, borderline or non-reactive. A customised diet plan or substances to avoid can be recommended based on the findings. This improves the immune system balance.

Colonic Irrigation
Colonic Irrigation is a method used to cleanse toxins by flushing the colon repeatedly with filtered warm water under very low pressure, using specialised massage techniques on the abdominal area to stimulate release.

The health of your gut is the pathway to health and healing, and Colonic Irrigation is the first step in restoring gut health through the subsequent re-irrigation of gut flora.

Colon cleansing is required to get rid of faeces and other harmful toxins accumulated on the colonic walls, which would otherwise cause pre-conditions for various diseases in the body.

Computerised Tomography (CT) Scan
A Computerised Tomography or CAT Scan is an imaging test that combines several x-rays taken from different angles to produce three-dimensional, cross-section images of the bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues using a computer.

Floatation Tank
The sensory deprivation achieved by spending time in a floatation therapy tank, enables a deep, relaxed state that allows the body to release long-held deep stress. Pain is relieved, blood flow is stimulated through all the tissues, natural endorphins are released, and the brain gives out alpha waves associated with relaxation and meditation.

Halotherapy – Salt Cave
Europeans have known that salt caves benefit many people with lung and sinus problems. Recent research has shown it is effective in a wide range of lung problems including, difficulty in breathing, rehabilitation of patients after acute and chronic lung diseases, like acute bronchitis, pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, after lung surgery, bacterial infections, allergies, COPD, cardiovascular systemic support, and a wide range of skin problems.

Halotherapy is the inhalation of micronized dry salt within a chamber that mimics a salt cave environment. Salt, being anti-inflammatory, aids in reducing the inflammation of the respiratory system by enhancing the immune system. Furthermore, halotherapy improves mineralisation and alkalisation of the tissues, hence significantly preventing angiogenesis and metastatic spread.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is a treatment that involves breathing 100% oxygen at a pressure which is higher than the atmospheric pressure.

Oxygen is transported in the body by two ways – mainly by binding to haemoglobin in the red blood cells and dissolving oxygen in the blood plasma. Under normal circumstances, 97% of the haemoglobin molecules are saturated with oxygen, whereas 0.32% of the plasma contains oxygen.

In hyperbaric oxygen therapy, because oxygen is at a pressure higher than the normal pressure, a higher amount of oxygen will be dissolved in blood plasma. Blood plasma can reach areas which are inaccessible to red blood cells. Therefore, oxygen will be delivered to the areas which were previously oxygen deficient.

Hyperthermia
Whole body hyperthermia achieves thermal elevation of body temperature. To that, the body’s immune system is placed on high alert. The overactive immune response which is triggered, makes it easier to introduce other interventions to address unhealthy cells and disrupt Cancer cells. It is best applied in combination with other therapies.

Local hyperthermia is used to address cases of primary and recurring secondary tumours regardless of tumour stage.

Ozone Therapy
It has been proved that Cancer and disease grow in poorly oxygenated tissues in your body. Ozone therapy is a treatment that increases the availability of oxygen in the blood through the introduction of ozone gas.

At Vingyana, ozone is administered into the body by autohaemotherapy – blood from the patient is withdrawn and mixed with ozone. This increases the oxygen in the blood and the oxygenated blood is intravenously administered to the patient. It will be delivered to hypoxic tumours to improve the blood flow by decreasing the blood viscosity and resistance, and to upregulate the protective enzymatic antioxidants system in the body.

For those with a weakened immune system, evidence has demonstrated that ozone therapy boosts the immune system, improves oxygen delivery to the body, enhances energy, and improves circulation in the body.

Oligo Scan
Oligo Scan is a device that is used to detect trace elements and toxic metals in the tissues.

A portable spectrometer device is used to collect the data from a blood, urine, faecal or hair sample of a patient, and sent to the secure central oligo scan server. The results can be obtained in about 20 seconds.

Oligo scan is beneficial when prescribing supplementation that would enhance individualised meal planning. If the patient suffers from metal toxicity, chelating techniques, supplements or lifestyle changes can be recommended.

Our Approach to Food

Enjoy a delicious, fresh and regulated diet that has curative and preventive benefits.

Meals at Vingyana are designed specifically to help support, improve, and transform metabolism. Individualised plans cater to each person’s specific needs, while reducing inflammation and toxicity levels.

Vingyana houses the highly sophisticated ALCAT Test that helps identify allergies and sensitivities to food. It detects immune reactions to various food additives, environmental chemicals, medicinal herbs, moulds, antibiotics, and other anti-inflammatory agents.

Following a thorough testing phase, individualised meals are designed to help support digestion, transform metabolism, reduce inflammation, and toxicity levels. Our professional nutritionists and qualified chefs work together to create meals that will keep patients at optimum health, using food that helps overcome disease.

We focus on low human-intervention food, where the food has undergone minimal or no change from its place in nature. This creates an ideal balance between macro and micro nutrients, allowing your body’s biochemistry to convert food into what it requires.

Our dietary interventions borrow from the Ketogenic Diet, Gerson Therapy, and Michio Kushi’s Macrobiotic Diet. We also accommodate sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegetarian diets.

Sri Lanka is blessed with an abundance of richly nutritious fruit and vegetables. Our chefs work with local superfoods: gotu kola, coconut, murunga, jack fruit, kale, avocado, and strawberry, while enhancing the preparations with the goodness of ginger, basil, turmeric, cumin, Ceylon cinnamon, and black pepper.

Our meal plans are exciting and diverse, while remaining healthy. Patients can look forward to changing menus that feature Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Mediterranean, Italian, and Sri Lankan cuisine. Inventive preparations and healthy yet delicious desserts make meal times special at Vingyana. Highlights include our signature turmeric smoothie, matcha mint green smoothie, turmeric cashew curry, zucchini spaghetti, and chocolate and avocado mousse. Another exciting menu feature is the fresh seafood that is caught daily from the Indian Ocean.

Beyond our integrative, custom-cooked diets, it’s the nutritional education that our chefs provide, which makes our kitchen a stand-out facility at Vingyana.

We encourage patients to re-evaluate their relationship with food and learn the meaning of true nourishment. Our food philosophy involves eating mindfully: to slow down, be in the moment and be aware of the way food impacts your well-being. Patients are welcome to get involved in our open kitchen for a hands-on culinary experience, learning from some of the best chefs, producers and growers.

The juice bar is open daily for a refreshing boost of vitamins and minerals. Our method of cold-pressed juice extraction doesn’t oxidise or degrade the ingredients, keeping nutrients and enzymes intact. Highly medicinal king coconut and coconut are the base for many of our juices.

Serene Sri Lanka

An idyllic island retreat made for healing and wellness.

Sri Lanka is the geographical hub where East meets West. The philosophy and beauty, the weather and the hospitality provide an ideal setting for spiritual, emotional, and physical healing.

Since the early days of travel, Sri Lanka has been known as one of the world’s most beautiful and diverse holiday destinations. This is reflected in the many nicknames Sri Lanka has acquired over the centuries – Serendib, Ceylon, Resplendent Isle, Island of Dharma, and Pearl of the Indian Ocean.

In Sri Lanka, every sight, sound, and smell engulfs you with new experiences.

Sri Lanka is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious, and multi-cultural society; a reflection of the island’s encounters with successive foreign immigrants. A history of colonial occupation has also left a mark on Sri Lanka’s identity, with Portuguese, Dutch, and British elements intermingling with various facets of the culture.

Whatever their situation in society, the people of Sri Lanka possess a warm and friendly nature reflected in their enduring smiling faces, and an eagerness to help those unfamiliar with local life. You will find that Sri Lankans are very hospitable and take pride in inviting people into their homes, however modest they may be.

The perfect destination for your journey of healing.
